Q: Are Comfee Portables real air conditioners or evaporative coolers that you need to keep filling with ice water?

A: We only supply real air conditioning, our products contain an expensive compressor and refrigeration system, there is no other way to efficiently reduce room temperature.

 

Q: How are your units so competitively priced Vs other real air conditioning products.

A: Comfee by Midea is the world's largest manufacturer of air conditioning products. Manufacturing output in 2019 was over a 40million A/C units. We hold the UK's largest stock of portable air conditioning units and can sell the best specification portables directly to you, and for less than the price of our competitor's entry-level models. 

 

Q: What size portable will I need to cool my room?

A: Please use the great cooling calculators provided and consider ALL the things that heat up your room, this in selecting the best size model to keep you cool.

 

Q: Does the unit need to have a duct that goes outside?

A: Yes. If there is no heat leaving your room the room will stay hot. Comfee' supplies real air conditioning only and in providing "actual cooling" we need to remove as much heat energy from the room as possible.

 

Q: Can I cut a hole in the window or a wall and connect the duct to an

outlet grille/louver.

A: Yes, please make sure the duct is not squeezed and the air is able to pass freely to the outside.  

 

Q: Does the unit come with a duct and what size is it?

A: Yes, the unit comes with a FREE duct that is 150mm in diameter, this will extend up to 1.5m.   

 

Q: I need a duct that is longer than 1.5m to reach my window?

A: There is a huge range of duct extension kits available online, to get a duct to connect onto the one we have supplied you for FREE please buy one that is 150mm dia. (This is 6”)  These should be no more than £20 and will easily connect to our freely supplied duct.  

 

Q: Does the portable unit come with a window kit? 

A: Almost all other brands do not supply a window kit as there are so many different window types. We supply a free sliding kit that can be used on many window applications. If you need one specific to your window there are many options available online. Google "hot air stop for portable air conditioners".

These should be no more than £20.  

 

Q: How long is the power cable and can I plug this into an extension?

A: The power cable is 1.5m long and can be plugged into an extension if it is rated for a 13amp fuse.

 

Q: I’ve seen a unit for £150 online, that looks the same as a real air conditioner?

A: Looks can be deceiving, please check out this link, the unit you are looking at will be an air cooler that you need to fill with ice water every hour. It will not cool your room like an air conditioner. The clues are it will not state a cooling capacity in kW or BTU, the product will most likely advertise a water tank capacity such as 5 liters etc.   

 

Q: Can I use the portable air conditioner as a dehumidifier?

A: Yes,  the portable air conditioner unit is also a dehumidifier. When in the dehumidification mode the unit will remove air moisture and this will be removed within the hot air that is exhausted to outside. If your room has a lot of humidity you can collect the water in a container via the supplied drain connection pipe. This is a clear plastic pipe that comes free with the unit. 

 

Q: When will I receive my portable?

A: If you order on this website before 3 pm, you will receive your portable via premium insured delivery the very next day.   

 

Q: How do I connect my Air Conditioner to the app? 

A: The app is amazing!! Please download the "Midea Air" App for IOS or Android. Watch this video on how to connect. 

 

Q: I want to connect my Air Conditioner to Alexa software for voice control.

(Voice control is super cool) 

A: Please search for the "Midea Air" app skill on Alexa and follow the instructions given by Amazon. 

 

Q: I want to connect my Air Conditioner to Google software for voice control.

A: Please search for the "Midea Air" app on your google assistant software and follow the instructions given by Google.

 

Q: How do I register for my FREE 3 Year Warranty?

A: You will receive a warranty label with the unit, please complete the form and follow the instructions, or take a photo of the form and email it to sales@comfee-uk.com  

 

Q: Can I spread the cost of my portable purchase?

A: Yes, when you purchase using PayPal they will offer you an option to pay over 4 months, this is interest-free. PayPal may also offer you up to 24 months of credit. All credit agreements are between you and PayPal. Please check out the payment calculator to work out the cost of your portable.  

 

Q: I have a problem with my air conditioner can you help.

A: Of course, please run the system diagnostics on your portable via the FREE app. This will test up to 104 components within the air conditioning model. In the exceptionally unlikely event of product malfunction please send us a screenshot of the error code and allow us access to your air conditioning over the internet.  (You will need to send us your unique connection QR code for this access) We will then investigate the fault and if there is an issue with the product, we will resolve it within 3 working days.  

 

Q: My unit is working fine but it is not producing any water. I thought the water would be produced?”

A: In normal cooling mode operation the water is actually evaporated inside the unit and sent out with the warm air through the Flexi duct. In drying mode or cooling mode during particularly warm and humid days, the unit will not be able to evaporate all of the water that is produced and the water must be actively drained from the unit using the top drain outlet and hose provided.”

 

 

Q: “I have a P1 Error”

A: The drip tray is full. Please empty the water. In drying mode or cooling mode during particularly warm and humid days, the unit cannot evaporate all of the water that is produced and the water must be actively drained from the unit using the top drain outlet and hose provided”
